This is a paint touch-up I carried out on a new Honda Jazz rear bumper; it is only a small paint gouge with a couple of light scratches bellow it.

This is a great example to see that depending on where the scratch is located, can determine how much area will need to be repainted, because the scratch is in the centre of the corner section, the new paint has to be blended into the existing paint on both sides of the corner, this is always the case with metallic and pearl finish touch-ups, where if it was solid white for example, you could actually get away with just painting the side section up to the corner edge, if done carefully. Once the base coat (the actual colour) is applied and blended, two coats of polyurethane clear coat are sprayed over the entire section and blended where necessary, this is what protects the colour layers and gives its gloss.

Too sum it all up, the job looks fantastic and the owner was pleased with the results.
